1. For each location I will identify and list possible problems
2. Then write down requirements under each heading
3. Write down the actions we will take to reduce and control any location problems identified
Location name and activity

Lighting required? Position of sun? Clearance for shooting agreed with owners? Is there power available? Has access been agreed? Do the police/local council need to be informed?

Potential issues; example low flying plane noise/audio due to close to Heathrow.

Action taken to overcome the issue.

Media Studio- The Big Sean scenes
Drama Studio- Drake scenes/Drake and Big Sean |
In this location there are stage lights that point directly to the set which we can to use. This means that we won't really need to bring in any external lights in order to light up the set and we could film pretty much most of it easily without the problem of the light changing or other issues that would apply if we were filming it outside.
With this set as well we have stage lights which we could easily control with a lighting control board and could create blackouts and flashing lights easily. Also in the drama department they have smoke machines that we could probably use especially for Drake's part or Big Sean's. There is also plenty of space for the artists to move around energetically. We need to get clearance with Head of Drama in order to use the room |
Due to it being a classroom there are possibilities that people might be in the room and could disrupt our filming. We need to know if other people want to use the space and when and how long we could use the space for. Also if we use the white background the set is quite small in the part of the room we want to film it so you can't really do any tracking shots. The curtains need to be extended properly so the camera doesn't pick up ripples that makes it look unrealistic and make sure nothing is behind them that create lumps/bulges e.g. table
There shouldn't be any disturbances in this room as after school no one really uses it unless they are rehearsing so it would be easy to access. The curtains however need to be extended out fully in order for the camera to not pick up the ripples in the curtains and check if things are behind it that creates bulges. |
We need to find an appropriate time that means there are no people using the room or inform them that we are filming and if they could not cause distractions or ask them politely if they could work in another space. In terms of the size of the set we are going to use the grey curtain as it is long enough and roll the white screen across the ground in order to cover the wooden flooring. Also we need to ask any other groups if they are going to use the set and when and notify when we are using it. We could also create an illusion that the artist is moving by just using the smoke as similarly in the original video the artist is in the same spot but looks as if he is moving.
Move things from behind curtains. Make sure no one else is the using the room. Find out when we could use the room and how long. Ask if could use the smoke machine/other props or technology. |
