So I decided to do something similar to this whilst still keeping to typical codes and conventions of hip-hop.
Smoking is a very big convention in hip-hop and is widely promoted throughout the music industry (via rappers). This is the reason why i chose smoke. All i did was add the text on top of the image and merged them together, this was it looks like she has blown the name R.I.C.O. out of smoke herself. This would be a very skilled trait to have especially in hip-hop where smoking is popular. I also wanted to add a woman into this, this is due to woman being sexually objectified and objectified as a whole. Rappers would boast about what they can get woman to do for them, so I decided to add a woman, so it looked like she was blowing the smoke.
I chose for this to be the main image on my front cover, now i just need to add other conventions to complete my cover. So my next step was adding the extra conventions to fill the cover a bit more. So I added what his name stood for, it stands for Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations. The reason for this starts back when we chose the name. We wanted a name that hadn't been used yet, so we looked at some titles for inspiration. R.I.C.O. was a song name in diss tracks between Drake and Meek Mill, also Yo Gotti did a freestyle called R.I.C.O. This is an act that would give hip-hop rappers troubles as they are normally involved with corruption and racketeering etc. Therefore this name and meaning of the name would be relevant to the album. I also add "**** Tha" to the name and "Act" at the end. This is due to the aggressive language being a typical trait in hip-hop, and also rappers don't like this act therefore my addition to the name is totally relevant. Also the words racketeer influenced corrupt organizations will be much larger and the beginning letter will be in capitals and in the same font as the artists name in order to clearly show the audience that that is what his name stands for. Due to there being inappropriate language on the album cover already, and hip-hop being well known for their controversial language, it only made sense to add another convention which is the parental advisory logo.
I once saw on an advertisement that they included the artists that featured on their album in order to attract the other artists audience as well which means more sales for RICO.

This made me want to do the same, so I did the following.
But I then realized that adding other artists names on your album was not a convention, only on advertisements, so i got rid of it. I felt like something was missing like I had to add something else to fill the page more. so I added a little design in the top left corner.
But after looking at many other albums on the internet, I noticed that some of the most effective album covers and simple.

So...
I later realised later on that The woman I used was from the internet and I had to take pictures of people myself, so I quickly took a picture of Magdalena doing the same pose and came up with this.
